Tithing Report August 2020

Welcome to our monthly spending report. This is where you can see how this group has spent donated money with the goal of showcasing to the world the heart of Yeshua and God our Father. To ensure we are aligning with the will of The Father, we pray over every spend, and in addition there is a committee of 5 people (of which myself and Danielle are a part) who have to confirm every spend. These saints hold us accountable to the will of God and ensure that every dirham spent is assigned wisely.

The month of August started off with a beautiful family gathering. It had been in our hearts for a while that after the inability to socialise for months, due to covid-19, we should meet as a community family for lunch. We were able to arrange a Friday afternoon lunch in a fantastic little Ethiopian restaurant in Karama area, Dubai. It was refreshing for our spirits to commune together once again and was a much needed source of relaxation, joy, and bonding for all involved.

This month, God also led us to top up our Bible library collection (which we gift to those in the community) with Urdu and Arabic Bibles. Our fellow brother, Grant, kindly sourced a place within the UAE to purchase these from.

We have continued to support both Michael and Mama Maria’s family throughout August with the purchase of foods and drinks. In addition, we set ourselves the goal of providing the local workers in our neighbourhood tea every morning. We have been faithfully able to do this with the help of donations towards materials such as tea, sugar, cups etc.

Last, but by no means least, God threw us head first into a social relief situation in Dubai. As you may have read in July’s tithing report, last month God led us to help feed over 150 homeless Pakistani men who were awaiting repatriation following the devastating effects of covid-19 on Dubai’s economy. Similarly, Ghanian nationals were sleeping homeless in Satwa hoping for their embassy to assist in sending them back home. Unfortunately, this was not something their embassy was willing to do and these individuals were left to try to finance their own way home.

Repatriation flights were organised by the embassy on a bi-weekly basis, however the cost of a seat was AED1930. Most of these people did not have a single dirham to put towards buying a ticket. Through a series of God ordained dreams, visions, and events – Our God moved mountains in order to send 54 of these men and women home in the short space of four days. It was nothing short of incredible watching God burst doors open to get these people on that flight. We will be releasing a full testimonial video about this soon so stay on the look at for this. Receipts for 41 of the 54 tickets can be found in the download file above. Unfortunately, Eloy paid cash for the remaining 13 tickets as his credit card got maxed out and thus we did not get receipts.

We thank every single person who stepped up to help these people, whether it was through prayer, finances, or time. Through your actions we saw an answer to prayer that we still cannot comprehend! We have attached some photos as well as a list of names of all the Ghanian nationals that were sent home.

We thank you all for your donations and support in reaching out and showing the heart of God towards His people.
